Not a business post, but if you’ve ever had hassle with getting a refund on faulty goods you owe it to yourself to read this article from the BBC.

As a consumer you are covered for faulty items for up to 6 years after purchase – without buying an extended warranty. Worth knowing I think.

The Mayor of Derby came for tea and biscuits the other day with ourselves and other residents of Banks’ Mill Studios. The Mayor talked about his aim to help inspire new business in Derby during his term in office, as we had the chance to talk about the creative industries which is a growing part of Derby’s economy.

David Carson was one of my design heroes when I was at college, so obviously this lecture was a huge interest me. As Brody did in the eighties, so for the nineties Carson defined a decade by changing the way we think about design, inspiring countless designers… including myself!
